Arrest and timeline

Fleming was arrested Sept. 15 on a fugitive warrant out of Louisiana for counterfeiting, according to court records. That was the same day multiple break-ins he has now been charged with allegedly occurred. The break-in charges were filed Sept. 16.

Additional charges have been filed since the arrest. Police reports obtained by WCNC Charlotte detail the most recent charges, filed Oct. 13. Those charges accuse Fleming of break-ins at hotels on Statesville Road, West WT Harris Boulevard and Harris Corners Parkway between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. on Sept. 7. He is also accused of break-ins on Stoneyridge Drive at 4 p.m. on Sept. 13 and outside the Planet Fitness on Mount-Holly Huntersville Road at 3 p.m. the same day.

Armed robbery charge

Fleming also faces a charge for an alleged Sept. 9 robbery with a dangerous weapon at an apartment complex on Falls Creek Lane. Court records accuse him of taking items from a man at gunpoint. That charge was filed Sept. 24.

Fleming was out on bond for an April misdemeanor larceny charge when the break-ins allegedly took place, according to WCNC Charlotte.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) has not publicly released any information about Fleming's charges, WCNC Charlotte reported. It remains unclear whether additional charges are pending.
