More than 30 live acts play Lake Norman venues Wednesday, Oct. 14, through Sunday, Oct. 18.
The full week's lineup comes from Cornelius Today's "Live at the Lake" guide, published by Jon Show. The schedule spans breweries, restaurants and the Cain Center for the Arts in Cornelius, with most shows free and a handful of ticketed headliners anchoring the weekend.
Saturday's Rusty Rudder 10-Year Reunion at Boatyard LKN marks the only reunion event of the week. The original Rusty Rudder, a Lake Norman bar that opened in May 2002, closed Oct. 3, 2016, after its landlord declined to renew the lease, as QC News reported. Organizers said on the bar's Facebook page they plan to bring the Rusty Rudder back to life at Boatyard on Saturday, Oct. 17. The show starts at 7 p.m. with Post Nation and Ella Nation, tribute acts covering Post Malone and Ella Langley. Tickets are paid; check BYDLKN.com for pricing.
Cain Center for the Arts in Cornelius hosts three ticketed shows. Chatham Rabbits bring their Americana set Friday, Oct. 16, at 7:30 p.m. Cain Center said on Facebook that tickets are running out. Dark Echoes, a Pink Floyd tribute, takes the stage Saturday, Oct. 17, at 7:30 p.m.
The week closes Sunday, Oct. 18, at 3 p.m. with the North Carolina Youth Orchestra's (NCYO) debut at Cain Center. The concert opens NCYO's Fall 2026 Concert Series, according to a WDAV event listing. NCYO Ensembles lead the program, and the full Orchestra performs after intermission. The program features works by Holst, Dvořák, Shostakovich and Stravinsky. Tickets are $15; call (980) 689-3101.
