Taxes and healthcare
In an August 2026 PBS State Lines interview, Womack described exempting the first $100,000 of earnings from federal income tax as a hypothetical goal. She acknowledged needing research and legislative help to assess how it would fit the budget. She also favored raising the earnings cap subject to Social Security taxes and opposed corporate tax breaks unless companies pay livable wages and contribute to the tax system.
Womack described Medicare for All as a long-term goal and stronger Affordable Care Act subsidies as a near-term priority, with further research needed for a transition.
