Jennifer L. Fleet, a Democrat, is running for North Carolina District Court, District 26, Seat 15, in the Nov. 3, 2026, general election. The State Board of Elections candidate list confirms the candidacy in Mecklenburg County.
Experience
According to her campaign website, Fleet was elected in November 2022 after practicing family law. She joined the North Carolina Bar in 2014 and earlier worked with Florida’s guardian ad litem program and as a juvenile court case manager.
The campaign says she has presided over civil, criminal and domestic violence cases and serves as lead judge for Mecklenburg’s District Civil Division.
Judicial priorities
Fleet emphasizes starting court on time, using resources efficiently, treating parties impartially and letting the facts and law guide decisions. She says she has worked to streamline civil cases and reduce backlogs; those descriptions are her campaign’s assessment of her record.
Ballotpedia records her current judicial tenure as beginning in January 2023.
