Lake Norman residents looking for live music have at least 10 free and ticketed performances to choose from Saturday, Aug. 8, and Sunday, Aug. 9, across Cornelius and Huntersville venues.

Saturday, Aug. 8
Primal Brewery in Huntersville opens the day's music with Grateful Dead Night featuring The Grateful Dudes from 5 to 8 p.m. Free admission. The brewery, named NC Brewery of the Year 2026 by the NY International Beer Competition, is at 16432 Old Statesville Rd.
Lost Worlds Brewing, 19700-D One Norman Blvd in Cornelius, follows at 6 p.m. with FlipSide (rock). No cover. The brewery's biergarten and full kitchen make it a destination beyond the music. At 760 Craft Works, Dugi B & Burl take the acoustic stage at 6:30 p.m., also free.

Two free shows close the weekend: Acoustic Solutions (jazz) at The Serve Pickleball + Kitchen at 10 a.m., and Pluto for Planet Duo (acoustic) at Harp & Crown from 3 to 6 p.m.
